Leap of Faith

Well I've thought about it and prayed about it and finally made the decision to run a marathon. I asked my husband if he would join me and he was actually very excited about running a marathon. I am excited. I'm also worried, scared and some might say a bit crazy but more than anything I'm up for the challenge.

Why a marathon some might ask. Cause I love running and I've always wanted to do a marathon, but those reasons alone won't get me across the finish line. I'm running because the Wichita chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has stalked me for years with their direct-mail flyers and this time it worked. Run for a greater cause and raise money to help cure blood cancers. "Create a world without cancer" is what they've challenged me to do. And of course I'm up for that. Especially when my father-in-law starts chemo this week to fight myeloma. God Bless him!!

So I'm gonna get off the coach, get outside and find my inner athlete. Please join me on my journey to run my first marathon and fight cancer.
